Lisa joined Three60 Consult in July 2024 as Senior Associate, following over six years as a Senior Employment Law Mediator with MBIE.
Lisa has strong expertise in conflict resolution, negotiation, and communication, as well as a deep understanding of the legal and policy frameworks that govern different types of disputes. She brings a calm, considered approach to each engagement, and navigates challenging matters with sensitivity.
While with MBIE, Lisa conducted complex mediations for a wide range of stakeholders, and provided technical advice to parties on applying case law, employment relations, collective bargaining, employment law and positive workplace culture, including provision of written recommendations per s 149A ER Act 2000.
Previously, Lisa was in-house counsel for FARSA, EPMU, then E tū between 2009-2017. While in these roles, Lisa provided legal advice and supported collective bargaining for union members, progressed cases to mediation, the Employment Relations Authority, and the higher Courts, where appropriate. Lisa has an in depth knowledge of the employment relations landscape in New Zealand, and is experienced in interest-based bargaining having been trained by members of the USA Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service.
Lisa is a member of the Resolution Institute, and is a part of its coaching pool for candidates participating in mediation training and seeking accreditation. Coaching, mentoring and restorative mediation practice are particular areas of interest for Lisa.
